The main taxes and duties in force in Lithuania, i. e. value-added tax, corporate income tax, personal income tax and excise duties are administered by the State Tax Inspectorate which consists of the central tax administrator and ten territorial tax offices.
The purpose of the information system (GYPAS) is full computerization of the personal income tax administration. The information system deals with personal income tax, asset declaration, payment and refund, 2% charity, administration and control for the issue of certificates to the residents, the fields of payers’ service and information analysis.
The information system allows performing automatic document control, selecting people, pertaining to risk group. The data received from the counties is accumulated in the central sever of the information system. In this server, the data is segmented and shared. The generated document packages are transferred to the counties and integration into the county system is provided.
GYPAS includes the following:
- Control of the Residential Income Tax Declarations, payment and refund
- Service for the taxpayers
- Information analysis
- Issue of business certificates
- Registration of individual business
GYPAS information system fully computerizes the administration of personal income tax law. The information system includes a personal income tax and property declarations, payment and return of 2% of tax to the charities, administration and control of issuance of certificates to the residents, the taxpayer service and information analysis. GYPAS information system allows for automatic control of documents, the selection of high-risk individuals.
In the scope of the contract a new annual tax return form was created and implemented; an interface is realized with Electronic Declaration System (EDS); Integration with Audit Information System is ensured.
In addition, GYPAS services include: development of new features; Modification works; Preparation of procedures for processing data; Data transfer procedure development; Training services.
