History

The Zissor group was set up in 2001 by Jon Asakskogen (CEO) and Ove Dirdal (CTO), who both have long and varied experience from conceptual development of industrial IT solutions and the management of complex IT projects. The company was set up after taking over the rights to source codes from another company, where this development began in 1996.

Zissor Media System was Zissor's first product. Durrants, UK's largest Media Monitoring company, was the first user of this solution. In 2002 Zissor entered into an agreement with Burrelle's/Luce in the USA, the largest Media Monitoring agency in the world.

Zissor's second product, Zissor Content Conversion, was launched at CeBIT in 2003. Since then the software is installed at several Service Centers in Europe and Asia and several archives of different kinds (newspapers, magazines, books and other documents) have been converted at the Service Center in Oslo.
